[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url();,true] - - the rules * every site has rules that you have to follow, and we know they're a pain to read so we've made as short as possible so you don't have to spend hours reading and learning what not to do around here remember to follow them, because they're here for a reason. - first things first, welcome to manic panic! after reading all the information you need, if you would like to join, please register with your characters first name. you will then change it later after registering to your character's first, middle and last name all in lowercase. if your character is called alexander, but is nicknamed alex, you must register with the name alexander, and keep your display name as alexander. it keeps things neat c: - when you begin on your character's application, you will have to finish it within two days, or it will be removed to the mausoleum. please structure the subject as LAST, first middle, and be kind to us, and mark your application with a [nd] if it is unfinished. it makes it easier for both of us. admins can only get on at certain points, because we do have lives too! so if we don't accept you within two days, feel free to nag at us then, but not before<3 - the face claim works first come, first served. if the character you wanted is already taken, then we can't do anything about that unless the character with that face claim has been inactive and has not posted for two weeks. that's right! if you don't post for two weeks, your character's face claim will become open to the public to be claimed again. we accept celebrities as well as internet famous people. to have a legitimate face claim, your play by must have over ten photos of themselves. we do not accept random people from places like myspace. - you are allowed five characters maximum, and you must be active with all of them. consider looking at wanted ads for one or two of the five characters to help people around the site. if you would like another character, talk to an admin, and we'll say if we think you're active enough to have another. - on the subject of activity, don't just join and leave! you must post at least twice every two weeks. after two weeks of inactivity, your account will be deleted. posting in games also counts as posting in in character threads, but you must have at least one in character post over the span of the two weeks. - we are a no word count rapid fire site, but don't be silly with it! we expect one or two good paragraphs per post. try not to exceed a thousand words, and be kind to your partner. try to match their amount of words. it's unfair if they're posting six hundred words, and you're only doing two hundred, so be fair! also, by rapid fire, we mean quick posting, so we can get threads out of the way more quickly, and we can keep plots going. it's so much easier this way! - do not abuse the games! currently, the post count is enabled, but if that's what you all do to bump up your post count, we will disable it. - do not power play or god mod! if you don't know what this means, it means to take control of someone else's character, or make decisions for them. things like 'alex led ben outside' is acceptable, but things like 'ben punched alex so many times that alex was now crying in front of him, begging for mercy' is unacceptable. your character can't be like a god either. they will get hurt if someone hits them, they can't dodge every bullet, and they won't stand up again like nothing happened if say they got shot. people can't fly, or have super strength, or any kind of powers, so neither can your character. oh! and no perfect characters please. no one if perfect in real life, and there's no perfect characters here either. - be nice! of course, characters are going to hate each other sometimes, but out of character, we're all a nice big happy family. we don't have cliques here. we welcome all new people, and we help them, like a family would. if there is some kind of argument, don't battle it out in the cbox, take it somewhere else, or contact an admin. meanness towards others looks bad on the site, and drives people away, and we don't allow it here. - also, on manic panic, admins are equal to guests and members here. we play by these rules too, and we won't act like we're better than any of you. we're just the same, except the admins keep the site in check, and that's the only difference. c: we work, and everyone enjoys themselves. - lastly, have fun! these were a bit longer than we thought they were going to be, but at least you know the dos and don'ts of the site now. we hope you have a lovely experience here c: <3 [style=text-align:center; margin-top: -10px; font-family: arial narrow; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 1px; background-color:#e2e2e2; padding: 3px; color:#585858;][/style]
