[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; background-image: url(http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss279/legendskseeker/oceanbreezebg.png); padding-bottom: 20px;] words // don't count // outfit // clicky // tagged // open boy with a coin, T H E N M A K I N G A W I S H , A N D T O S S E D I N T H E S E A it had been a few long days since sixteen year old chelsea harnage had arrived in azura, california, with her parents. already, a lot of unpacking had been done, but there will still many boxes littered around the house, full of old things put everywhere, and it was so difficult to find the things you wanted. all morning, the blue haired teenager had been helping her busy parents sort out what goes where, and had been trying to find the little things they wanted or needed most. all the major furniture was in place now, it was just all those silly little things like ornaments, pictures, vases, and kitchen tools that were left to place. they had been fairly organised about the whole thing, though. after moving six times, living in many odd places, moving had become like a talent of theirs. unlike most people who spent months or even years unpacking, they had now become like pros, with the ability to unpack the majority of things in about two to three weeks, tops. their house was an average size, but very nice. it was on a nice estate, full of people of all ages. the brickwork was light, and pretty, and was nice to look at. inside, there was a lounge, a joint kitchen and dining room, two small bathrooms, one en-suite, and three bedrooms - one that was very small, probably used for a guest room. her parents got the en-suite, and the other bathroom was all for chelsea, which was great! she got her own room, which was nicely decorated. there was a soft white carpet, and red painted walls. her bed was like a sofa from the front, but it was actually really comfortable, and her duvet was black with silver flowers patterned all over it. her rooms colour scheme was pretty much white, red, black, with small elements of animal prints. the house overall, however had a modern theme to it. it was very homey, and cosy - her dream home. she was happy to have moved here. they had been working on it for many hours, and chelsea hadn't been complaining at all. she had the idea that maybe if she was helpful and remained quiet and useful, maybe her parents would let her off for the evening so she could go out and finally see new things and new people and begin to make friends. it was a saturday, and she would be starting her first day of school on monday, so she had two days to begin meeting people that she could possibly befriend so she wouldn't have to be alone and awkward.. as much, on the first day. her plan had worked. at about 5pm, her mum gave her $20, and a bit of praise, and then chelsea was out of there. racing for the town, eager to start talking to people and getting used to her new home. the first place she found herself, by no surprise, was the theatre. she checked the shows that were listed near the front doors and saw there was an improvised play going on tonight, and it wasn't even sold out! happily, chelsea decided that that was what her evening entertainment would be, and was already lining up in the fairly long queue to the outdoor ticket station that had a red carpet leading up to it and two double doors on each side of it. fancy. chelsea smiled to herself, buffing up her long, vibrant blue hair slightly. it was $12 to get in, so she'd still have $8 left over to spend on snacks and drinks. the teenager was actually really excited for this improvised play. she'd never been to one before, but she'd heard about them. they had no lines planned, no character personalities, no ideas. the audience decided for them, and they made it up as they went along. people say they're usually funny, and actually really good, and this was new york, so hopefully they'd be even better than all the others out there. the line moved slowly, but chelsea was getting closer to the ticket booth with each step. she was just hoping she would be able to find someone to talk to before the night was over, and then, they could talk, and sit together, and chelsea wouldn't have to worry about her loneliness as much on her first day of school. notes // feel free to join in anyone c; |
